How to get to Coron: flights, ferries and the airport van

Checked Oct 2026. Updated . Compiled from the sources listed at the end of this page.

The fastest way to Coron is a flight to Busuanga Airport (USU) from Clark or Cebu, about 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, then a van of about 30 minutes to 1 hour into Coron town (FlyTeam OAG data and 12Go, checked Oct 2026). There have been no nonstop flights from Manila's NAIA since Mar 29, 2026. From El Nido the choice is a 40-minute Cebgo flight or a fast ferry of about 3.5 to 4 hours.

How this page is built: we compile operator timetables, government and park notices, and booking-platform listings. Each figure names its source and the month we checked it. Nothing here is first-hand, and ferry rotas in Palawan change with the season.

Figures marked "reported by" or "as listed on 12Go" come from secondary guides or booking platforms; confirm them at the terminal counter or with the operator before you travel.

Flights to Busuanga (USU)

Coron's airport is Busuanga Airport, officially Francisco B. Reyes Airport, in the neighboring municipality of Busuanga. The details are on Palawan airports.

From Manila. There is no nonstop from NAIA. Cebu Pacific's help center lists Coron (Busuanga) among the Cebgo destinations moved to Clark on Mar 29, 2026, and Philstar reported in Feb 2026 that Philippine Airlines was moving its Manila to Busuanga flights to Clark on the same date. A "Manila to Coron" fare on a booking site in Oct 2026 is either a connection or older data.

From Clark. As reported by FlyTeam, Oct 2026 (OAG data as of Oct 5), the airlines on the route are Philippine Airlines, Cebgo and Sunlight Air, with flights of 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes.

Cebu Pacific's notice says it does not provide transport from Manila to Clark; it pointed travelers to Genesis Transport's P2P buses from NAIA Terminal 3.

From Cebu. The same OAG data lists Philippine Airlines, Cebgo and Sunlight Air from Cebu, at about 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The Philippine Airlines morning flight left Cebu at 06:30 in the listing.

From Busuanga Airport to Coron town

12Go lists shared vans from the airport to Coron town "from PHP 280" (about USD 5, as listed on 12Go in USD), with a scheduled time of about 1 hour, the fastest at 30 minutes. One operator on that listing, Millennial Island Travelmate, is also reported by Pamasahe.com, Oct 2026 (page updated Sep 2026): PHP 250, about 45 minutes, with departures from 05:00 to 16:30 in both directions and a warning that fuel surcharges may raise fares. Confirm the fare at the van counter before loading bags.

Coron's environmental fee is collected at the airport. Coron Mayor Mario Reyes Jr. put it at PHP 200 for adults and PHP 150 for minors in 2023 (Brigada News); see Palawan fees.

Weather and sailings

Under the Philippine Coast Guard's MC 02-23, vessels may not sail when Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 or higher is raised at the origin, along the route or at the destination, with limited exceptions for certain roll-on, roll-off routes. PAGASA's calendar has a rainy season from June to November, when cancellations on the El Nido to Coron and Manila to Coron routes are most likely. Month by month detail is on Best time to visit Palawan.
