Palawan airports: El Nido, Puerto Princesa, Busuanga and San Vicente
Palawan has four airports with scheduled flights: Puerto Princesa (PPS) in the middle of the main island, El Nido or Lio (ENI) in the north, Busuanga (USU) for Coron, and San Vicente (SWL) on the west coast. Puerto Princesa is the only one with nonstop flights from Manila's NAIA in Oct 2026; El Nido and Busuanga are served from Clark and Cebu, and San Vicente only from Cebu (FlyTeam OAG data and FlightMapper, checked Oct 2026).
How this page is built: we compile operator timetables, government and park notices, and booking-platform listings. Each figure names its source and the month we checked it. Nothing here is first-hand, and airport transfer fares in particular change often.
Figures marked "reported by", "secondary" or "as listed on 12Go" come from schedule databases, guides or booking platforms; confirm them with the airline or at the airport counter before you travel.

El Nido Airport (Lio, ENI)
El Nido's airport is a small private field at Lio, north of El Nido town. Until 2026 it was the AirSWIFT base. Cebgo took over all AirSWIFT flights on Jul 1, 2026, and the Cebu Pacific help center lists El Nido routes to Clark, Boracay, Bohol, Cebu and Coron under the new DG flight numbers.
There is no flight from Manila's NAIA anymore. Cebu Pacific's notice lists El Nido among the destinations that moved to Clark on Mar 29, 2026.
| Route from El Nido | Airline | Flight time | Source, checked Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clark | Cebgo | 1 h 35 min to 1 h 45 min | Reported by FlyTeam (OAG data) |
| Cebu | Cebgo | 1 h 40 min to 1 h 50 min | Reported by FlightMapper |
| Busuanga (Coron) | Cebgo, DG 5538 at 12:20 | About 40 min | Airpaz |
Getting to town: El Nido Insights (page updated Oct 4, 2026) reports that the airport is in Barangay Villa Libertad, about 5 km north of town, and that a tricycle takes 15 to 20 minutes for about PHP 300 per tricycle. Bakasyon.ph (Sep 2026) gives 15 to 25 minutes to the town proper. Both are secondary guides, so confirm the fare at the arrivals area before you get in.
El Nido Insights also reports no ATMs and no baggage carousel at the terminal, so arrive with cash for the tricycle and the El Nido eco-tourism fee covered on Palawan fees.
Puerto Princesa Airport (PPS)
Puerto Princesa International Airport is the main gateway and the only Palawan airport with jet flights from NAIA. OAG schedule data reported by FlyTeam, Oct 2026, lists Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines on Manila to Puerto Princesa, about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, with the last nonstop of the day at 18:20.
The airport's name says international, yet only domestic routes are reported by FlightMapper, Oct 2026: Manila, Clark, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo. AirAsia Philippines suspended its Puerto Princesa flights from Oct 1, 2026, as covered on How to get to Palawan.
Getting to town: The airport is about 3 km from downtown and a tricycle costs around PHP 100 to 150, as reported by Things To Do Puerto Princesa, Oct 2026. Agree the fare before the ride starts, and confirm current rates at the airport's tourism desk.
Puerto Princesa is also where most road trips start. Vans to El Nido take about 5 hours (Puerto Princesa to El Nido) and vans to Port Barton about 3.5 to 4 hours (Port Barton). The Underground River permit office details are on Puerto Princesa Underground River.
Busuanga Airport (USU), for Coron
"Coron airport" is really Busuanga Airport, officially Francisco B. Reyes Airport, in Barangay Decalachao in the municipality of Busuanga. Coron town is a separate municipality on the same island, so every arrival needs a road transfer.
| Route from Busuanga | Airlines | Flight time | Source, checked Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clark | Philippine Airlines, Cebgo, Sunlight Air | 1 h 5 min to 1 h 25 min | Reported by FlyTeam (OAG data) |
| Cebu | Philippine Airlines, Cebgo, Sunlight Air | 1 h 20 min to 1 h 40 min | Reported by FlyTeam (OAG data) |
| El Nido | Cebgo | About 40 min | Airpaz |
| Manila (NAIA) | None since Mar 29, 2026 | Not applicable | Cebu Pacific help center; PhilSTAR Life |
Philippine Airlines moved its Manila to Busuanga flights to Clark on Mar 29, 2026, as PhilSTAR Life reported in Feb 2026. Some booking sites still show "Manila to Coron" fares; those are connecting itineraries or older data.
Getting to Coron town: 12Go lists shared vans "from PHP 280" (about USD 5, as listed on 12Go in USD), scheduled at about 1 hour with the fastest at 30 minutes. One of the listed operators, Millennial Island Travelmate, is also reported by Pamasahe.com, Oct 2026, at PHP 250 and about 45 minutes, with vans from 05:00 to 16:30 and a note that fuel surcharges may apply.
Coron's environmental fee, about PHP 200 per adult, is collected at Busuanga Airport, according to a 2023 Brigada News report. See Palawan fees for the full fee list.
San Vicente Airport (SWL)
San Vicente is the least used of the four. A single route is reported by FlightMapper, Oct 2026: Cebgo from Cebu, flight DG 6628 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing 13:30 and taking about 1 hour 55 minutes, with that schedule shown as effective to Oct 29, 2026. Aviation Updates Philippines reported the Cebu to San Vicente launch at four flights a week in 2024.
The airport serves San Vicente's Long Beach area and is the closest airport to Port Barton. We did not find a consistent, sourced transfer time from the airport to Port Barton, so we leave it out; ask your accommodation to arrange the pickup.
Season note
PAGASA's calendar has a rainy season from June to November and a dry season from December to May. Small turboprop aircraft serve El Nido, Busuanga and San Vicente, so weather cancellations hit those airports harder than Puerto Princesa. More on Best time to visit Palawan.
